Digital technology is an important component of daily life in the United States, and increasingly, an influential part of the resettlement process, from applying for jobs to managing finances to accessing public benefits. In response to the growing use of digital technology, CORE has developed a supplemental lesson plan that addresses cultivating awareness and digital skills, which benefit refugees and contribute to their self-sufficiency.

The Digital Awareness for Refugees Lesson Plan can be used alongside the Digital Awareness for Refugees Fact Sheet and Podcast available on the CORE Resettlement Navigator website. As with other supplemental lesson plans, this plan is optional for use, and the activities can be used together or separately, as well as adapted to fit different organizational needs of CO delivery. All resources are free to access, download, and use and are available in multiple languages. A webinar on the topic is planned for 2019.
