Digitize the Wait: New Video and Audio Playlists for Resettlement Office Waiting Rooms

Waiting rooms aren’t just for waiting. The spaces can be overlooked, but can potentially serve as an educational touch point for refugees. One way to take advantage of client wait time at your organization’s office is by emphasizing key messages about life in the United States.

CORE has videos and podcasts translated in multiple languages that can be used to highlight important Cultural Orientation topics, including employment, housing, and U.S. laws. To simplify the broadcast of the video and audio resources in waiting rooms, CORE created YouTube playlists for videos and Soundcloud playlists for podcasts. These playlists can be played on a loop through a TV, computer, or speaker system with internet access. The playlist links can also be shared with refugees for viewing outside the office.
