To unify and harmonize the translation of Cultural Orientation terms across the overseas-to-domestic resettlement continuum, CORE created a Multilingual Cultural Orientation Glossary.

The glossary includes frequently used Cultural Orientation and resettlement terms, and is available in seven languages: Arabic, Burmese, Dari, English, Kinyarwanda, Russian, and Swahili (Congolese). The glossary can serve as a uniform translation document for training Cultural Orientation providers and interpreters, and benefit refugees during pre-departure and post-arrival Cultural Orientation.

In addition to the glossary, CORE created a Working with Interpreters page. Cultural Orientation providers and interpreters can easily access resources that will help them successfully create collaborative and streamlined classes. The page expands on information and guidance provided in CORE’s Working Effectively with Interpreters online course.
