Domestic Refugee Communications Pilot Kicks Off

CORE’s Domestic Refugee Communications Pilot, a six-month engagement to enhance Cultural Orientation delivery, has begun at three resettlement offices.

The three offices taking part in the pilot are Catholic Charities Indianapolis Refugee Services in Indianapolis, Indiana; Community Refugee and Immigration Services, a Church World Service affiliate in Columbus, Ohio; and International Rescue Committee in Atlanta, Georgia.

The offices will receive hands-on technical assistance to integrate and apply CORE’s resources for refugees inclusive of the CORE Resettlement Navigator website, Settle In app, and TextCOREnav SMS campaign.

This month, CORE will conduct site visits at the three offices to train staff to use CORE’s resources, develop skills in integrating technology, and take a whole office approach to Cultural Orientation. The pilot will also inform CORE’s plans to scale results and develop ongoing technical assistance.

Even if you are not part of the pilot, your office can begin integrating CORE’s resources in your Cultural Orientation programs.
